We have enjoyed learning of famous artists such as Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet and loved stretching our imaginations, working our motor skills with big body brush strokes, learning that it is the process not the outcome of art is what is important, and even creating our very own works of art as inspired by our Famous Artists.
We also took this opportunity to get messy with tie dye, create nature collages, art-inspired sensory play and so much more! These exploration activities arts activities allowed our children the opportunity to develop self-esteem, self-discipline, cooperation, and self-motivation as they worked to complete their one of a kind works of art!
We know that there are so many talented artists in our history who did not create traditional art, but took their passions off of the paper! Our children loved learning the legacy of those famous for their art as musicians, actors and other creators who have influenced Hispanic culture over time.
One thing is for sure, we have loved letting our creativity shine through the many mediums of art!
