With our new friend Iggy Peck, our Aventuras built towers, raced in stacking challenges and explored a variety of construction materials such as mud, wax, bubbles and more! The STEAM explorers engaged in water play at the Germantown Splash Park before creating their own water slide structures and spent their afternoons engaging in STEAM filled fun at Kid Museum!
During their field trip to Kid Museum, the Aventuras worked together and utilized their problem solving skills to create strucutures using a variety of different materials. When creating Pipe Dreams, the Camperos used large tubes to roll balls from one location to another using gravity. Later that afternoon they designed flying objects and experimented with changing variables such as shapes, sizes, and weights to observe different flight patterns. They finished their day by using wind energy, connecting small tubes to fans in order to get ping pong balls to travel overhead using force and motion.
For our final week of Aventuras Summer Camp, our Camperos will learn of Ada Twist Scientist, and spend their week developing theories and hypotheses before solving our science experiments!
