Hola Papás! My name is Veronica Gutierrez but I like going by Vero. I am so happy to be part of a new classroom this year, the Pioneers. This will be my first classroom ever teaching full-time in, and I am so excited to start this fun journey with the Pioneers. I was born in Annapolis MD, but lived in Utah for some time and then moved back to Maryland. My parents are proudly Mexican and Peruvian, and have been people who I most admire for their effort and sacrifice in advancing me in this next step in my life. When I’m not in the classroom I like to watch movies, play soccer, shop, and spend time with friends and family. I graduated from Richard Montgomery HS in 2018, and am now attending Montgomery College. This will be my second year there and am working into getting my A.A.T in Special/ Early Childhood Education. I am happy to say that by the end of this year it will by my first year at WKA. This past year I have been a Substitute for many different classrooms and a counselor in the Aventuras Summer Camp program. I look forward to working with the Pioneers and facilitating their growth this year!
