Hola! My name is Yadira Alvarenga and I am excited to continue another year here at WKA. I started back when I graduated high school in 2014 and I am happy to keep being part of such a wonderful school. This year I am the school floater! I have the opportunity to assist each classroom and interact with each child around the school. I am continuing my education and majoring in Early Childhood Education and along with that hold my 90 hours in addition to many other courses in education.
What I love about WKA is being able to share my cultural background. My father is from San Jacinto, El Salvador and my mother is from Choluteca, Honduras. At a young age I was exposed to Spanish, and once I entered Pre-K I learned English. Throughout the years in elementary school I was able to dominate both languages in reading, writing, and speaking. I love how both languages have helped me grow and developed in many areas and most of all help others.
What I enjoy outside of work is spending time with my family, and creating wonderful memories with my daughter Adriana, who this year became a Duckling here at WKA! We enjoy going out to eat, going to farms, museums, and fun play spaces
