Hi! My name is Mrs. Claudia and I am so excited to be a part of WKA this year. I was born and raised in Chile where I graduated from college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Communication. Afterwards, I moved to the United States to begin a new chapter in my life. In Maryland, I taught Spanish to homeschooled children and worked as a private tutor in Montgomery County. After that I obtained my Early Childhood Education Certification from the State of Maryland. I worked for three years as a Lead Teacher in a Spanish Immersion program in Chevy Chase.
Shortly after moving to Maryland I met my husband. Together, we have the most adorable and energetic 6-year-old girl. She is bilingual and loves to be part of our multicultural life. I really enjoy sewing, gardening, painting and reading with my daughter.
I am fascinated with teaching about planets, dinosaurs, and planting during spring time. With my experience, creativity, and passion for teaching I hope to bring unique perspectives and ideas. There is so much that I’m looking forward for this year!
