At Whole Kids, we truly believe the outdoors is an extension of our classrooms. Nature and the outdoors are a gift, and that’s why we make sure to have two hours every day dedicated to outdoor play. The children are given plenty of time to explore, play, and interact at our parks. That’s what we mean when we say the outdoors is an extension of the classroom. Learning doesn’t stop when we leave the building. Every moment spent in play is an opportunity to grow, and learn. Sometimes this learning can result in a scrape or bruise, but very few playground injuries can’t be healed with a hug from a teacher, or an ice pack. Building a healthy relationship with the outdoors can develop into a lifelong love of nature, and a greater love for our planet.
