Rekindle the spirit of classic summer camp in “Summer Blast.” From energetic morning chants and flag-raising to cherished camp crafts, this week brims with timeless traditions. Outdoors, we relive the excitement of games like capture the flag and epic balloon battles. “Un Día Sobre Ruedas” brings wheels aplenty, with campers showcasing their biking, skateboarding, rollerblading, and scootering skills. Campers unite in summer challenges, teaming up to build the ultimate camp fort, concoct scrumptious recipes, and partake in adventures that capture the essence of summer camp. It’s a week of enduring fun, friendship, and unforgettable memories.

Step back in time to the age of dinosaurs and uncover the secrets of ancient seas. Campers will become paleontologists, exploring the world of prehistoric creatures, fossils, and ancient mysteries. They’ll dig, discover, and learn about the fascinating world of dinosaurs while also embarking on an adventure to hunt for fossilized shark teeth along the Miocene Calvert Cliffs of Maryland. This week promises hands-on activities, thrilling fossil hunts, and the opportunity to hold history in your hands. Get ready for an unforgettable journey through time!

Dive into the Beach Bonanza for a shortened but action-packed week of sun-soaked adventures from July 1st to July 3rd. Campers will engage in sandcastle building, beach games, and marine exploration right on our grounds.
To make this week even more special, we’re hosting our very own 4th of July celebration on July 3rd, barbecue style! It’s a day of patriotic fun, delicious treats, and camaraderie as we gather together for a festive pre-Independence Day bash. Get ready for a Beach Bonanza filled with laughter, games, and a touch of patriotic flair!

Get ready to cheer and play your heart out in ‘Sport Fanáticos’! Each day is dedicated to a different Latin American sport like baseball, basketball, tennis, and soccer. Mornings are all about honing your skills and learning how to play like the pros, with a focus on technique and teamwork. In the afternoons, you’ll put your skills to the test in fun and friendly mini-tournaments, earning points for your team by showing good sportsmanship and teamwork. But this week isn’t just about playing; it’s also about celebrating your favorite sports stars like Lionel Messi, Alex Morgan, and Neymar. Plus, you’ll explore behind-the-scenes roles like team managers and strategists. Don’t miss the excitement of the Copa America 2024, and join us for our very own Aventuras Copa America at the end of the week, where teams will compete for the championship. And remember, even if you’re not into playing sports, there are roles like referees and sports strategists for everyone to enjoy the game!

Gear up for a week of high-tech engineering and robotics adventure! Campers will delve into the world of robotics and circuits using Spheros, Ozobots, Makey Makey, Snap Circuits, and more. They’ll design, build, and program their own robots, navigate circuits, and participate in creative challenges. This week encourages problem-solving, teamwork, and innovation as campers engineer their own robotic solutions.
Indulge in the ultimate fusion of flavors and creativity! Campers will dive into the world of culinary arts and visual art. They’ll learn to cook delicious dishes from around the world, and then express their culinary experiences through art. This week encourages campers to explore their senses, experiment with taste, and transform their food-inspired art into a gallery showcase. It’s a feast for the palate and the eyes.

Commence on an extraordinary adventure with our “Space Mission Awaits” week! Young explorers will journey beyond our world, delving into the mysteries of the solar system and conquering STEM challenges. From launching flying model rockets to experiencing astronaut life, this week promises a captivating cosmic journey. Engage in hands-on galactic art and crafts, crafting planets, rockets, and astronauts. Campers will also dive into astronaut training at the Astronaut Training Camp, featuring obstacle courses, low-gravity jumps, teamwork exercises, and problem-solving challenges. This extraordinary week fosters creativity, teamwork, and a passion for space exploration, offering an immersive blend of education and adventure. From classic board games to interactive adventures, campers will dive into the world of game design where young minds can let their creativity run wild.

Unleash your inner artist and performer in this captivating week. Campers will explore the world of creative arts, including theater, dance, and visual arts. They’ll have the opportunity to write and act in their own mini-play, choreograph dance routines, and create stunning artwork. This week is all about self-expression, imagination, and showcasing talents on the grand stage. A culmination performance for family and friends will be the highlight!

Have younger siblings looking for their own summer adventure? We have built in fun for our youngest campers (those heading into Kindergarten this fall) with our dedicated Whole Kids Jr. program, where children can experience all of the joyful moments of their first summer camp experience, while keeping a familiar routine, cozy community feel and built in opportunities for onsite adventure:
Our Jr. Campers will kick things off with two weeks of Animal Planet investigations! Campers will be able to learn about all different species of animals who rome our earth including those on land, who take flight and even underwater! Campers will learn fun facts of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and fish including their characteristics and home habitats through hands on experiments and live stream videos!
This week, our campers are setting off on a mission to break a world record! Researching some classic world records for kids – most claps in a minute, most skips in a jump rope, longest distance to stretch slime, fastest assembly of Legos and more! – campers will take delight in seeing if they can break some of these classic records and will be challenged to set a new record all their own!
Did you know that you can code both on and off the screen?! Our Jr. Campers will love to learn the basics of coding with Ozobots – small robots that are controlled using written code on paper! Each day, campers will face a new STEM Wars challenge in how to get their Ozobot safely through obstacles, twisting, turning, speeding up, slowing down and changing colors along the way!
Whole Kids Jr. is gathering all the ingredients you will need to make your favorite recipe with your friends this summer. Each day, after our young chefs decorate their own chef hats, they will feature a variety of scratch made recipes and will have the opportunity to explore the appropriate kitchen tools for their age.Some of the recipes we are eager to try this summer include handmade pastas, delicious baked goods and hand tossed bread! Our Jr. Campers will not only learn how to cook but also put into practice their presentational skills in sharing their creations with their camp friends and brining home tasty treats for their families!

Our age-based camp groups cater to the unique interests and developmental stages of rising 1st to 3rd graders. Led by our dedicated Camp Director and experienced counselors, Whole Kids Summer offers a warm and engaging atmosphere. With a perfect balance in size, our program ensures personalized attention, creating a close-knit community where everyone knows your child’s name.

Camp Hours & Extended Care
Whole Kids Summer will run from June 17th – August 16th and be open daily from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Needing to extend your child’s camp day? Extended care will be offered until 6:00 p.m. for an additional $130 per week!
Balducci's Bagged Lunch
Whole Kids Summer has partnered with Balducci’s to provide campers with the daily option for a healthy and delicious camp lunch! You can sign your child up for Balducci’s bagged lunch program.
Communication
Once registered, all Whole Kids Summer communication is sent via email. Please make sure that you provide your preferred email address during the registration process.
You will receive an email confirmation or camp registration and receipts for registration and camps fees as processed. All families can expect to receive a Welcome to Whole Kids Summer camp email by June 3, 2024.

Registration Information & Camp Fees
Registration Opens January 1, 2024, for Full Summer Camp Bundles and Early Bird Pricing:
- Full Summer Bundle: $3,350 for All 9 Weeks of Whole Kids Summer
- Summer Vacation Bundle: $3,100 for 8 Weeks of Whole Kids Summer
Weekly Registration Opens February 28, 2024, Pending Availability:
- Full Summer Bundle: $3,600 for All 9 Weeks of Whole Kids Summer
- Summer Vacation Bundle: $3,350 for 8 Weeks of Whole Kids Summer
- Summer Camp Rate $465/week (4th of July week at reduced cost of $300)
Whole Kids Summer Late Registration Runs from April 1, 2024 – June 16, 2024, Pending Availability:
- Late Registration $515/week (4th of July week at reduced cost of $350)
Registration will be confirmed with an automated email. A one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $200 is due upon registration. All camp fees will be automatically processed via Tuition Express. Remaining camp fees will be processed for payment automatically on April 1, 2024. All payments are non-refundable after this date.
*Camp fees noted above include weekly trips to the pool, and the field trips planned for iFly, Maryland Science Center, Wolf Trap, Calvert Marine Museum and Imagination Stage.
Discounts
Sibling Discount – Enroll two or more children in our Whole Kids Summer Camp Program and receive a 5% discount on your second child’s camp fees!
Military Discount – Military families receive a 7% discount on all camp fees!
Note: Discounts cannot be bundled with any other offer, and only one discount per child will be honored. If you qualify for multiple discounts, the discount that provides your family with the largest amount of savings will be applied. Thank you!
Payment
All registration fees will be automatically processed on April 1, 2024. If registering for a program after April 1, 2024, full payment is required at the time of registration. All payments are non-refundable after April 1, 2024, and refunds are not permitted after this date.
Wait List
Once the Whole Kids Summer program is full, a Wait List will be started through our online registration system. When registering for a Wait List, please complete all of the requested information. We will not apply any charges until after a space is offered to your child.
Should a space become available, Whole Kids Summer will directly contact families on the Wait List in the order in which the Wait List request was received. Families will then have 24 hours to accept the available space before it is released to the next name on the list.
Cancellation Policy
Cancelation must be received in writing to summer@wholekidsacademy.com no later than February 27, 2024 in order to receive a full camp refund.
If you are canceling between February 28, 2024 – March 31, 2024, you will receive a 50% refund of camp fees paid.
In the event that you may cancel your enrollment or withdraw your child from Whole Kids Summer for any reason after April 1, 2024, the primary contact shall be obligated to pay the total camp fees due for all registered sessions. No refunds will be given after April 1, 2024, but you may transfer camp weeks to a child of same age (or different age, pending availability).
Kindly note all registration fees are non-refundable, even in the event of cancelation.
