Gain hands-on experience in a Spanish-immersion preschool
Whole Kids Academy is much more than a preschool. We are a warm, loving community of teachers, staff and families who believe in nurturing children’s hearts, minds and bodies. Our programs combine interactive play-based learning, lots of outdoor time and social-emotional skill building.
We welcome interns to our school during the academic year and in the summer.
After-School Interns
During the school year, we need extra help from 3 – 6pm. This is a great opportunity for high school students to learn from experienced teachers and work directly with children. If you are enrolled in a childhood development track at your high school, your internship hours count towards the 90 hours needed to complete the track.
We know many students are busy, and we are happy to work around your schedule.
MCPS Summer Rise Interns
We participate in the MCPS Summer Rise program and welcome rising seniors who are looking for hands-on teaching experience for a few hours every day. You receive intensive training and go through our orientation program to ensure you are ready to hit the ground running, whether you intern with our administrative team or in the classroom.
Internships can lead to full-time jobs with Whole Kids Academy; two past interns have returned to work for us full-time.
