Our Preschool classrooms have been transformed into seamstress studios this month as our children embark on the Clothing Study. Throughout the month children have observed different types of fabrics, textures, patterns and designs that make up the clothing that we wear. We had discussions with our children about how we can choose our own clothing and wear pieces that we like based on our own unique styles and preferences. We demonstrated this when we had the opportunity to design our own shirts with a tie dye design including a variety of colors and shapes. The children loved creating their own clothing and sharing their self expression through this activity. Now the month is concluding, and and we can’t wait to show you what we have in store for December! Get ready!
