The Voyagers made their very own vivero in class last week! Very similar to a plant nursery, the children were able to display their plants, make a store, and pretend to sell them to other children. This sort of dramatic play teaches the children tons about cooperation, exchange, and taking care of a space. Parents and teachers brought in all sorts of fun plants to display in colorful pots. There was also a worm habitat in the class, where children had the opportunity to hydrate the dirt, and take care of the little worms. All these activities contribute to a holistic learning environment for the children, where they get to play, but also learn real-life skills and communication. Go Voyagers!
