Ms. Martha was born in the city of Bogotá, Colombia and grew up as the third of six siblings. She shares that she always enjoyed school, especially math and arts and crafts! After graduating from high school, Martha studied at Instituto Colombiano de Aprendizaje and received her Associate’s Degree in Preschool Education. She spent the next few years working at a preschool where she furthered her experience and passion for teaching young children. After relocating to the United States, Martha worked as a caregiver for various families and child care centers, before finding her home at WKA. Martha’s favorite children’s book is The Big Hungry Bear because it teaches our little ones the importance of sharing.

Martha has been a beloved Whole Kids teacher since 2018. She shares that her favorite part of our community is the warmth and family-like environment.
